Our History

In 2003, local banking professionals and area businesses saw the need for a “new kind of bank”. One that would combine their knowledge and understanding of local communities with extensive financial expertise.

They pooled their resources to make their vision a reality, and in June of 2004, Empire State Bank began operations as a full-service, community-oriented bank, with the goal of providing customers with high quality personalized banking services, innovative financial products and competitive rates.

From the Beginning, Empire set to offer a full line of checking, deposit and loan products tailored to meet the specific needs of the customers and businesses they serve in the Hudson Valley Region, New York Metro Area, and beyond.

The bank has established a trend for steady growth since opening for business. Empire anticipates continuing this momentum into the future as it expands product offering, investment and online banking capabilities and launches an extensive community involvement initiative aimed at consumers and businesses throughout the regions it serves.
